At the fourth, Puri, Lord Vishnu is revered as Jagannath, his Avtar for Kali Yuga. The four Shankaracharya Peeth (Seats) at the Chaar Dham school of Hinduism, made something like four Hindu religious organizations. He coordinated the Hindu professionals under four Maṭhas (Sanskrit: मठ) (organizations/cloisters), with the base camp at Dvārakā in the West, Jagannatha Puri in the East, Sringeri Sharada Peetham in the South and Badrikashrama in the North.
